Biography

Christopher Becker Whitley was an American blues and rock musician known for blending elements of blues, jazz, and rock into his music. Over the course of his 25-year career, he released 17 albums and covered songs from a wide range of genres and artists. Though two of his songs reached the top 50 on the Billboard mainstream rock charts and he earned two Independent Music Awards, Whitley remained on the periphery of both the blues and alternative-rock scenes. His work is remembered for its deep roots in traditional music forms and its innovative fusion of styles.
