Biography
Clarence Forrest Burton was an American actor, dancer, and singer who began his career as a child performer in the Burton Family vaudeville act. By 1904, he was performing independently and continued as a dancer in vaudeville until around 1910. By 1907, he had expanded into acting and comedy in plays and musicals. After working in regional theatre in California, he transitioned to silent film in 1912. Burton appeared in over 100 films from 1913 to 1932, frequently collaborating with director Cecil B. DeMille.
