Biography

Cliff Fong is an American interior designer, fashion designer, and television personality known for founding the Los Angeles-based interior design firm Matt Blacke Inc. In 2009, he opened the Melrose Avenue showroom Galarie Half with partners. Fong gained wider recognition as a host, mentor, and judge on *Ellen's Design Challenge*. Earlier in his career, he worked as a fashion buyer for prominent Los Angeles retailers including Ron Herman, Fred Segal, and Maxfield. He also co-founded the design firm Chatav Ectabit in 2004 with Sandy Dalal. In addition to his design work, Fong has served as a stylist, consultant, and fashion designer, collaborating with international retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Isetan, and Joyce in Hong Kong.
