Biography
Clive Merrison is a Welsh actor who has worked in film, television, stage, and radio. He is particularly known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in the BBC Radio series from 1989 to 1998, appearing in all 64 episodes, as well as in all 16 episodes of *The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes* from 2002 to 2010. Merrison also appeared in the original West End and Broadway productions of Alan Bennett's *The History Boys*, and in the 2006 film adaptation of the play.
