Colin Hoult

Colin is a character actor best known for his collaborations with Ricky Gervais, including the role of dodgy showbiz agent Ken Otley in *Afterlife* (Netflix), where his improvised "Taxi Driver the Musical" segment went viral. He also appeared as obnoxious handyman Geoff in *Derek* (Netflix) and as camp spiritual guru Bryan in *Life's Too Short* (BBC2), both co-written by Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

Colin has expanded into more dramatic roles, appearing in Amazon's drama *A Very Royal Scandal* alongside Michael Sheen, in ITV's *Code of Silence*, and is set to appear in *Brassic*, *Amadeus*, and the latest series of *Slow Horses*.

He has also appeared in regular and guest roles on *Ghosts*, *The Flatshare*, *Black Ops*, *Being Human*, *Almost Never*, *Nurse*, and *Murder in Successville*.

In live comedy, Colin is recognized as one of the country's top character comedians. His live shows have earned strong critical praise and a dedicated fanbase. His hit *Carnival of Monsters* trilogy led to two Radio 4 series, and his character of has-been actress Anna Mann has developed a large cult following.

Colin's most recent live show, *Colin*, in which he played himself and recounted the humorous and heartfelt story of his upbringing in Nottingham, is being adapted into a family sitcom, with Colin cast in the lead role.
