Biography
Cornelia Thaw is a character in the 1958 horror film *The Brides of Dracula*, directed by Terence Fisher. Produced by Hammer Film Productions, the film is part of the studio's Dracula series and loosely based on Bram Stoker's *Dracula*. Portrayed by actress Suzan Farmer, Cornelia is one of three vampire brides who live in Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania. Along with her two sisters, she seduces and feeds on men, fulfilling a dual role as both a lure and an enforcer of Dracula's will. The film centers on the arrival of a young woman named Diana and her uncle, who become embroiled in the castle's dark secrets and its vampiric inhabitants. *The Brides of Dracula* is known for its gothic atmosphere and for introducing the vampire brides as a recurring element in the Dracula mythos.
