Biography
Cynthia Robinson (January 12, 1944 – November 23, 2015) was an American musician who co-founded the funk band Sly and the Family Stone. She served as the group's trumpeter and contributed vocals to several of their songs. She was featured on the hits "Dance to the Music" and "I Want to Take You Higher." Questlove of the hip hop group the Roots referred to Robinson as the original "hypeman."
