Daphne Rubin-Vega is a Panamanian actress and singer who works primarily in theater. She originated the role of Mimi Marquez when the Broadway musical Rent premiered in 1996, and she originated the role of Lucy in the Off‑Broadway play Jack Goes Boating in 2007.
