Darby Stanchfield

Darby Leigh Stanchfield (5' 7" (1.7 m), born April 29, 1971 in Kodiak, Alaska, USA) is an American actress. Her father owned a successful commercial fishing business. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Stanchfield is currently married to Joseph Mark Gallegos (2009–present). She is the niece of Walt Stanchfield, a legendary Disney Studios animator whose work includes the major features *The Jungle Book* (1967), *The Aristocats* (1970), and *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* (1988). Stanchfield is best known for her role as Abby Whelan in the ABC political drama series *Scandal*. She also portrayed April Green in the CBS post-apocalyptic drama series *Jericho* and Helen Bishop in the AMC period drama series *Mad Men*.
