Diego Maradona is a 2019 British documentary film directed by Asif Kapadia, chronicling the life and career of the Argentine football legend Diego Maradona. The film features extensive archival footage, much of it previously unseen, offering an in-depth look at his rise to fame, his iconic moments on the field, and the controversies that surrounded his personal and professional life. It explores his time in Naples, where he became a cultural icon, as well as his struggles with fame and the pressures of public life. The documentary was screened out of competition at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
