Biography
Diego Matamoros is a Canadian actor known for his work in theatre, television, film, radio, and voice animation. He gained recognition for his role as Dr. Goldman in the CBC Television miniseries *The Sleep Room*, for which he won a Gemini Award in 1998. That same year, he voiced the character William Birkin in the video game *Resident Evil 2*. Matamoros has appeared in several films, including *Montreal Vu Par* (1990), directed by Denys Arcand, and *Fugitive Pieces* (2007), an adaptation of Anne Michaels' novel directed by Jeremy Podeswa. In 1998, he co-founded the Soulpepper Theatre Company and has performed in over 70 roles across 22 seasons with the company.
