Biography
Dot-Marie Jones is an American actress and retired athlete known for her roles in television. She gained prominence for her recurring role as Coach Beiste on the musical series *Glee*, appearing from the second season through the show's sixth and final season, during which she was promoted to starring status. Jones received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance. She also portrayed Coach Kelly in *Lizzie McGuire* and Butch Brenda in *Material Girls*. A former collegiate shot put record-holder from California State University, Fresno, Jones is also a 15-time world arm wrestling champion.
