Biography
Earl Eby was an American sprinter who gained recognition for his accomplishments in middle-distance running. He competed at the 1920 Summer Olympics, where he won a silver medal in the 800 meters. Before the Olympics, Eby had already shown his ability by taking first place in the 400 meters at the 1919 Inter-Allied Games and finishing second in the 800 meters, behind New Zealand’s Daniel Mason. In 1920, he claimed the 800 meters title at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, reinforcing his position as one of the leading athletes in his event.
