Eduardo Lago

Eduardo Lago is a Spanish novelist, translator, and literary critic born in Madrid and currently living in New York City. He received recognition in 2002 with the Bartolomé March Award for his critical analysis of three Spanish translations of James Joyce’s *Ulysses*. In 2006, he won Spain's Premio Nadal for his debut novel *Llámame Brooklyn*. Lago has contributed extensively to literary journalism, conducting interviews with North American writers for the literary supplement Babelia of the Spanish newspaper *El País*. He has also been involved in academia, teaching Spanish and literature at Sarah Lawrence College, where he returned in 2011 after serving as the Director of the Cervantes Institute in New York from 2005 to 2011.
