Biography

Elango Kumaravel is an Indian actor, writer, and co-founder of the Chennai-based theatre group Magic Lantern. He studied at Pondicherry University's Sankaradas Swamigal School of Performing Arts and trained at the Chennai-based theatre workshop Koothuppattarai. Kumaravel has contributed to the film industry as a casting assistant for the 2007 film *Loins of Punjab Presents* and as a scriptwriter for the 2008 film *Kattradhu Kalavu*. He has also been involved in the production of *Ey Aa O!*, a musical project that blends Indian folk and classical music.
