Erin Moriarty

Erin Moriarty, born in New York City, began her acting career with an awards-recognized project, a path many aspiring actors hope to follow. She made her on-screen debut in 2010 in the Emmy-nominated soap opera *One Life to Live* (1968), portraying the character Whitney Bennett in six episodes. In 2011, she expanded her television experience with a guest role in an episode of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* (1999). The following year, Erin appeared in her first feature film, *The Watch* (2012), a sci-fi comedy co-starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill. In 2013, she took on a supporting role in the coming-of-age drama *The Kings of Summer* (2013), which follows three teenagers who leave their parents and live off the land in a house they build themselves. Erin played Natalie Walraven, the daughter of Radha Mitchell's character, and also appeared in the 2013 TV series *Red Widow* (2013). In 2014, she continued in television, playing the daughter of Woody Harrelson's character, Marty Hart, in the first season of the Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-nominated *True Detective* (2014), appearing in three episodes. Erin has described playing a goth character as "fun... because it's the opposite of how I present myself, and is the opposite of any role I'd been considered for." In 2015, she landed a recurring guest role on the hit Netflix crime action series *Jessica Jones* (2015). In 2016, she appeared in *Captain Fantastic* (2016), starring Viggo Mortensen, in the role of Claire in the film festival favorite about a unique family's changing dynamics. Erin followed that with the action thriller *Blood Father* (2016), co-starring Mel Gibson and William H. Macy. She then played the starring role of Kelly in the biopic *The Miracle Season* (2018), alongside Helen Hunt. As of 2019, she is co-starring in Amazon Prime's *The Boys*.
