    Biography

    Hsu Feng is a Taiwanese-born actress and film producer who gained prominence in the 1970s as a leading actress in Hong Kong and Taiwanese cinema, particularly known for her roles in wuxia films and collaborations with director King Hu. After retiring from acting in 1981, she returned to the film industry as a producer. Among her notable productions is Chen Kaige's *Farewell My Concubine*, which won the Palme d'Or in 1993 and the BAFTA Award for Best Film not in the English Language in 1994. The film was also nominated for an Academy Award and a César for best foreign film.
