    Frances Marion was an influential American screenwriter, director, journalist, and author, recognized as one of the most prominent female screenwriters of the 20th century, alongside June Mathis and Anita Loos. Over the course of her career, she authored more than 325 scripts, making her one of the most prolific writers in Hollywood history. Marion was the first writer to achieve the milestone of winning two Academy Awards.
