Biography
Francisco Canaro, born Francisco Canarozzo on November 26, 1888 in San José, Uruguay, and died on December 14, 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was an Uruguayan tango composer, violinist, orchestra director, and producer. He became a naturalized Argentine citizen in 1940. He is widely regarded as one of the most important musicians in the history of tango.
