Biography

The film *Francisco Marquez* focuses on the story of the Niños Héroes, six Mexican military cadets who died defending Mexico City during the Battle of Chapultepec on 13 September 1847. The battle was one of the final major engagements of the Mexican–American War. The cadets' bravery and sacrifice have been commemorated in Mexico, with the anniversary of the battle observed as a civic holiday in their honor.
