Biography

Freddie Gibbs, born Fredrick Jamel Tipton, is an American rapper known for his contributions to the hip-hop genre. He first signed with Interscope Records in 2006 and began working on his debut album, though the project was never released and Gibbs was subsequently dropped from the label due to executive changes. In 2011, he joined Young Jeezy's CTE World label, where he released a series of mixtapes, including the critically praised *Baby Face Killa* in 2012.
