Biography

Bowie Wu Fung is a Hong Kong veteran actor and director whose family originates from Guangdong, China. He launched his acting career in 1953 with long-form Cantonese films and gained immediate recognition with his debut film, *Men's Hearts*. A prominent matinée idol during the 1950s and 1960s, he frequently starred alongside many of Hong Kong cinema's leading actresses, especially Josephine Siao, with whom he appeared in 1960s musicals. Known for his dancing abilities, he earned the nickname "Dance King." In the 1970s, he shifted his focus to television and has continued working as a contract artist for Hong Kong's TVB, occasionally making guest appearances in films.
