Biography

Philip "Fyvush" Finkel was an American actor and director known for his work in Yiddish theater. He achieved broader recognition for his portrayal of lawyer Douglas Wambaugh on the television series *Picket Fences*, earning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 1994. Finkel also played Harvey Lipschultz, a grumpy history teacher, on the TV series *Boston Public*.
