Gates McFadden is an American actress and choreographer known for her work in the Star Trek franchise. She is typically credited as "Gates McFadden" for her acting roles and "Cheryl McFadden" for her choreography. McFadden portrayed Dr. Beverly Crusher in *Star Trek: The Next Generation*, its four associated films, and the third season of the sequel series *Star Trek: Picard*. She also appeared in *Star Trek: Prodigy*.
