Biography
Gordon Jennings, A.S.C. was an American special effects artist who worked in Hollywood from 1932 to 1953, contributing to the visual and special effects of over 180 films. He was awarded seven Academy Awards and received eight additional nominations, all in the category of Best Special Effects. Jennings began his career in 1919 as a camera assistant. He was the younger brother of cinematographer Devereaux Jennings, known for filming Buster Keaton's 1926 film *The General*.
