Biography

Grace Beverly Jones is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, model, and actress who began her modeling career in New York with Wilhelmina Models. After moving to Paris, she became a prominent figure in the fashion industry, working with designers such as Yves St. Laurent and Kenzo. Jones appeared on the covers of publications including Elle and Vogue Hommes, and was photographed by photographers such as Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, and Hans Feurer. She emerged as one of the most prominent Black models of the 1970s, known for her androgynous appearance and striking features, which influenced early discussions about gender expression.
