Biography
Gwendoline Tracey Philippa Christie is an English actress known for her roles in television and film. She gained widespread recognition for portraying Brienne of Tarth in the HBO fantasy-drama series *Game of Thrones* (2012–2019), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2019. Christie also played Captain Phasma, a First Order stormtrooper, in the *Star Wars* films *The Force Awakens* (2015) and *The Last Jedi* (2017). More recently, she has appeared in the Netflix series *The Sandman* and *Wednesday*, as well as the Apple TV+ sci-fi thriller *Severance* (2025), earning another Emmy nomination in 2025 for her guest performance.
