Biography

Haluk Bilginer is a Turkish actor recognized for his work in film, television, and theater. He received international acclaim for his performance in *Şahsiyet* (2018), earning the Best Actor award at the 47th International Emmy Awards. His film *Kış Uykusu* won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Bilginer first became well-known in the United Kingdom for his role as Mehmet Osman in the soap opera *EastEnders* during the 1980s. He has also appeared in Hollywood films including *The International* (2009), *W.E.* (2011), *Ben-Hur* (2016), *Halloween* (2018), and *Maria* (2024), often playing antagonistic or unsympathetic roles.
