Hans Weingartner

Hans Weingartner is an Austrian filmmaker who has worked as a director, author, and producer. He was born in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, and initially trained in cinematography at the Austrian Association of Cinematography in Vienna, where he earned a diploma as a camera assistant. He later studied film at the Academy of Media Arts KHM in Cologne, Germany. In addition to his film education, Weingartner studied neuroscience at the University of Vienna and completed training in the neurosurgical department at the Free University of Berlin’s Steglitz Clinic. His varied educational background combines artistic and scientific disciplines, shaping his approach to creative work.
