Biography

Haruo Nakajima was a Japanese actor and stuntman known for his work in suit acting. He portrayed Godzilla in 12 consecutive films, starting with the original *Godzilla* (1954) and ending with *Godzilla vs. Gigan* (1972). Nakajima also performed as other kaiju in Toho's tokusatsu films, including Rodan (1956), Mothra (1961), and *The War of the Gargantuas* (1966). In addition to his work in the kaiju genre, he appeared in minor roles in several films by Akira Kurosawa, including *Seven Samurai* (1954), *Yojimbo*, and *Stray Dog*.
