Biography

Heather Locklear is an American actress known for her work in television. She became widely recognized for her portrayal of Amanda Woodward on *Melrose Place*, which aired from 1993 to 1999. For this role, she received four consecutive Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. Earlier in her career, she played Sammy Jo Carrington on *Dynasty* from 1981 to 1989, a role that marked her first significant television success and began a long professional relationship with producer Aaron Spelling.
