Biography
*Helen Dickson* is a film that dramatizes the events surrounding the Aramoana massacre, a real-life mass shooting that took place on 13 November 1990 in Aramoana, a small seaside town near Dunedin, New Zealand. The film centers on the tragic incident in which David Gray, a local resident, killed 13 people following a verbal dispute with his next-door neighbor. Among the victims was local police Sergeant Stewart Guthrie, who was one of the first responders to the shooting. The film also depicts the subsequent police operation, during which officers from the Anti-Terrorist Squad located Gray and engaged him, resulting in his injury and eventual death while being transported to hospital.
