Biography
Joseph Henri Richard was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent his entire career with the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1955 to 1975. Known as "Pocket Rocket," he was the younger brother of Canadiens legend Maurice "Rocket" Richard, also a Hockey Hall of Famer. Henri Richard won the Stanley Cup 11 times as a player, a record in NHL history, and is tied with Bill Russell of the NBA for the most championships won by an athlete in a North American sports league. In 2017, he was named one of the NHL's "100 Greatest Players" in a special anniversary recognition.
