Isabelle Adriani

Isabelle Adriani is an Italian actress, singer, dancer, fairy tale author, and journalist. She possesses a unique talent for operatic-style whistling and holds a PhD in History. Fluent in English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian, she has starred in over 35 Italian films in the past four years. Adriani has published ten fairy tale books and two historical novels: *The Garden of Power* and *The True Story of Cinderella*. Born in Perugia, Italy, she is the daughter of two neurologists known for their research in brain diseases. She has a sister named Alexandra. Her parents sent her to study abroad in several countries, including England, Germany, France, the United States, and Argentina, which contributed to her fluency in multiple languages. Adriani showed a passion for fairy tales and acting from a young age, writing fables and performing in school plays. She began her acting career at age seven with the dream of performing on Broadway. After seven years of classical ballet training at the Royal Ballet of Dancing and attending acting schools in her hometown, she moved to Rome to study opera singing with Edda Dell'Orso, a chorister for Ennio Morricone, the Oscar-winning composer. At 19, she published her first fairy tale book, *The Blue Butterfly*, and met Susan Strasberg, who encouraged her to pursue acting in the United States. Adriani earned her PhD in History at the University of Perugia at age 22, with her thesis focusing on the DNA of fairy tales. During this time, she also received a scholarship and attended C.U.T. Theatre Drama University School in Perugia. She later earned a Master’s degree in journalism and worked for major Italian TV channels such as Rai and Mediaset, as well as newspapers like *Il Messaggero* and *La Nazione*. In the past four years, she has appeared in several successful Italian films, including *What a Beautiful Day* (earning 52 million euros, an unusual figure for the Italian market), *Men Against Women* (15 million euros), and *The First Beautiful Thing*, which was also shown in the United States. She also had brief appearances in *The American* with George Clooney and *Twice Born* with Penélope Cruz. Adriani hosted the daily TV show *Moviestar* on Canale 5, Mediaset, from 2010 to 2013. She provided voice work for *Alvin and the Chipmunks*, singing the Rihanna song "Help" in the Italian version, and voiced the character "Peaches" in *Ice Age 4* for 20th Century Fox. In 2011, she performed for Al Pacino and Woody Allen at a New Year's Eve event. She also contributed a whistle to the soundtrack of *Baharia*, directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. From that point, she began her transition to the United States, obtaining a green card under the "Talent" category. Recently, she returned from Puerto Rico, where she played Esmeralda in *Reclaim*, directed by Alan White and starring John Cusack and Jacki Weaver. The multi-talented Adriani now divides her time between Rome and Los Angeles.
