Biography

J-Hope, born Jung Ho-seok, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer who debuted in 2013 as a member of the boy band BTS under Big Hit Entertainment. He launched his solo career in 2018 with the well-received mixtape *Hope World*, which marked the highest charting album by a Korean solo artist on the US Billboard 200 at the time. In 2019, he became the first BTS member to enter the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist with "Chicken Noodle Soup," featuring Becky G. J-Hope released his debut solo studio album *Jack in the Box* in 2022 and collaborated with J. Cole on the single "On the Street" in 2023.
