Biography
Jack Douglas Forbes was an American historian, writer, scholar, and political activist known for his work in Native American studies. He helped establish one of the first academic programs dedicated to that field and co‑founded D‑Q University in Davis, California, an institution focused on Native American education and culture. His efforts contributed to greater recognition and study of Indigenous issues within academia.
