Biography

John Hartford Hoxie was an American rodeo performer and motion-picture actor best known for his work in Western films during the silent film era. Active from the 1910s through the 1930s, Hoxie became a familiar figure in the genre and seldom appeared in other types of films. He is most remembered for his roles in Westerns, in which he frequently played rugged, authentic characters that appealed to audiences of the time.
