John Thomas Sonni was an American writer, musician, and marketing executive, best known for his role as "the other guitarist" in the rock band Dire Straits during the group's *Brothers in Arms* era. While not a founding member, Sonni contributed to the band's sound during this period, sharing the guitar duties with lead guitarist Mark Knopfler.
