Jacklyn Uweh

Jacklyn Uweh was born in Stockton, California, a city known for its asparagus production. She developed an interest in acting through her first major role as a circus mime, an experience she described as magical. While attending UC Irvine, she earned a B.A. in Film & Media Studies and Drama. During her time there, she co-founded The Soulstice League, a group that produced on-stage sketch comedy and videos for campus events.

After graduating, Uweh moved to Los Angeles, approximately 53 miles from UC Irvine. She immersed herself in the world of improv and sketch comedy, training at Second City Hollywood, UCB, and The Groundlings. She has performed in premium sketch shows such as Live Rude Girls, 177Fox, Trump in Space, and the inaugural Bob Curry Diversity Fellowship Showcase. Most recently, she completed a tour with Second City Theatricals and performed her one-woman sketch show, I Dreamed A Dream. She regularly performs with her improv teams, Eightball and Strangers.
