Biography
Jacqueline Najuma Stewart is an American cinema studies scholar and television host for Turner Classic Movies. She is a professor at the University of Chicago and has held significant leadership roles in the film community, including serving as the inaugural artistic director and later president of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures from 2021 to 2024. Stewart is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Film Preservation Board. In recognition of her contributions to the field, she was named a MacArthur Fellow.
