Biography

James Cosmo is a Scottish actor recognized for his character-driven performances in film and television. His film credits include roles in *Highlander* (1986), *Braveheart* (1995), *Trainspotting* (1996), *Troy* (2004), *The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe* (2005), *Ben-Hur* (2016), and *Wonder Woman* (2017). On television, he has portrayed Jeor Mormont in HBO's *Game of Thrones* (2011–2013), Father Kellan Ashby in *Sons of Anarchy* (2010), Farder Coram in *His Dark Materials* (2019), and Luka Gocharov in *Jack Ryan* (2022). In 2017, Cosmo took part in the nineteenth series of *Celebrity Big Brother*, finishing in fourth place.
