Biography
James "Jimmy" Carter Pankow is an American trombone player, songwriter, and brass instrument arranger, best known as a founding member of the rock band Chicago. As a key contributor to the band's signature sound, he is recognized for his work in the group's brass and woodwind section, which has become a defining element of Chicago's music. In addition to his instrumental skills, Pankow has contributed as a backing and occasional lead vocalist, helping to shape the band's diverse musical style over the course of their long career.
