Biography

Jason Edward Mewes is an American actor, comedian, film producer, and podcaster. He is best known for portraying Jay, the talkative half of the duo Jay and Silent Bob, in the films of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse. Mewes has appeared in several of Smith's movies, including *Clerks*, *Chasing Amy*, *Dogma*, and *Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back*. In addition to acting, he has worked as a producer and co-created the *Jay and Silent Bob* podcast, where he and his co-host discuss pop culture and other topics.
