Jay Duplass is an American filmmaker, actor, producer, and author known for his work in independent cinema. He is widely recognized for co-creating films such as *The Puffy Chair* (2005), *Cyrus* (2010), and *Jeff, Who Lives at Home* (2011), all made in collaboration with his younger brother, Mark Duplass. Together, the brothers formed Duplass Brothers Productions, through which they have developed a distinctive style characterized by naturalistic dialogue and character-driven storytelling.
