Biography
Jean Yoon is an American and Canadian actress and writer of Korean descent. She is best known for originating the role of Umma, the family matriarch, in the 2011 play *Kim's Convenience*. The play was later adapted into an award-winning CBC Television series, in which Yoon continued to portray the character. For her performance, she won an ACTRA Award and received two Canadian Screen Award nominations.
