Biography

Jeffrey Edward Epstein was an American financier and convicted sex offender. He started his career as a math teacher before moving into the banking and finance sector, where he built a fortune by offering tax and estate planning services to affluent clients. Epstein gained notoriety for his associations with high-profile individuals and his extravagant lifestyle. In 2008, he was convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution. In 2019, he was indicted on federal charges of sex trafficking minors, with the alleged activities spanning the 2000s. Epstein died in August 2019 while in federal custody awaiting trial, and his death was officially classified as a suicide.
