Biography

Jennifer Jason Leigh is an American actress who began her career on television in the 1970s. She gained wider recognition with her breakout role in the teen film *Fast Times at Ridgemont High* (1982). Over the following decade, she received critical acclaim for her performances in films such as *Last Exit to Brooklyn* (1989), *Miami Blues* (1990), *Backdraft* (1991), *Single White Female* (1992), and *The Hudsucker Proxy* (1994). She was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal of Dorothy Parker in *Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle* (1994).

Leigh continued to earn praise for her role as fugitive Daisy Domergue in *The Hateful Eight* (2015), for which she received Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress. Her career has been marked by a range of critically acclaimed performances across film and television.
