Biography

Jerry Douglas is an American musician known for his mastery of the Dobro and lap steel guitar. Recognized as one of the most innovative figures in contemporary acoustic music, he has won 14 Grammy Awards for his work as a solo artist and as a member of ensembles such as Alison Krauss and Union Station and The Earls of Leicester. In addition to his performing career, Douglas is a record producer and has been involved with the Transatlantic Sessions, a collaborative music event, since 1998. He has been described by The New York Times as "Dobro's matchless contemporary master."
