Biography
Jesse Brown was an American politician and Marine Corps veteran who served as the second United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1997. As the first African American to hold the position, Brown was responsible for overseeing the Department of Veterans Affairs and its programs. His tenure focused on improving services and benefits for veterans across the country.
