Biography

Joan Juliet Buck is an American writer and actress known for her work in the fashion industry. She served as editor-in-chief of French Vogue from 1994 to 2001, becoming the first and only American to hold that position. Buck has also been a contributing editor to Vogue and Vanity Fair and has written for Harper's Bazaar. In addition to her editorial career, she is the author of two novels and a memoir titled *The Price of Illusion*, published in 2017. Her literary work has garnered recognition, including a Pushcart Prize nomination in 2020 for her short story "Corona Diary."
